Hopkins, Producing Artistic Director for The Venice Mootney Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in theatrical writing and production. His autobiography, Slim Volume, has just been published by Xlibris.

With 40 years of professional experience, Hopkins often writes at various art colonies, including the Ragdale Foundation, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Montana Artists' Refuge. In addition to his current position, Mr. Hopkins has taught English to foreign adults for the city of Los Angeles for 33 years.
Hopkins earned a Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting from UCLA in 1979. He is a member of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, the Writers Guild of America, West and The Dramatists Guild of America. The recipient of a Drama-Logue Award and a Red Carpet Award, Mr. Hopkins has been active in forming the Green Party of America for over 20 years.
